The second is too complex for this type of set and the last two are too powerful. I'd reprint the first one.

I don't think Pacifism is too powerful, but it's always a high pick. Adding one mana to it isn't going to make it much less of a high pick, so maybe the change was done for flavor? Did people get sick of Grakk feeling a little warm and fuzzy inside?

Could they have at least given this card the Rebel subtype?

There were other pacifisms than Grakk, though. I'd love to have seen Akroma again, or Karn, or even something new.
