OK

Cavalier of Life and Death
Creature-Human Knight (U)
Lifelink
Whenever you gain life, put a +1/+1 counter on Cavalier of Life and Death
Whenever an opponent loses life, put a +1/+1 counter on Cavalier of Life and Death
2/2

FWIW, one of my ideas was to have a simple but solid WB draft build-around.

Destroy target creature if it is X colors. (A red and white creature is two colors. A colorless creature is 0 colors.)

Should probably be "X or fewer" colors, so that if a player's multi-colored creature suddenly loses a color, the spell isn't countered upon resolution. Also, asking players to start caring about the number of colors is a bit of a complexity step. Combined with the possibly fantastic rate on the card, this might be better placed at Rare.

I think it's fine at uncommon. It's not a "fantastic rate", at any number of colors it's no better than what's been printed at common or uncommon, often worse. For example, compare this to the new M19 rare that destroys colorless creatures. This costs to destroy a colorless creature.

Sorcery (MR)
Exile your commander (from whatever zone it's in). Search your library for a historic card (an artifact, Saga or legendary card) and put it in your command zone. That card is your commander for the remainder of the game. Then shuffle the exiled card into your library.

PSA: Planeswalkers are now legendary.

This is a cool idea but can't you choose to move your commander to your command zone instead of exiling it? I don't know how to word this to get round that problem.

BRING BACK "REMOVE FROM GAME" WORDING

Or if you want actual suggestion:

Replace "for the rest of the game." with "for as long as it remains exiled."

This also fix pull from eternity shinaniganz

Maybe what I need to do is start by removing the 1st commander's "commanderness".

@Lapis Lazuli

I think the wording template is wrong.

X implies player can decide on the number.

What it should say is "Lapis Lazuli costs more to cast for each color in your commander's identity."

I feel like mind knife would almost never be played on the 3-life mode and so may as well be reworded to have kicker rather than entwine. It's a pretty card, though.

If a spell or ability you control would target a card in your graveyard, you may instead have it target a card in any graveyard.
If an effect you control would count cards in your graveyard, it counts cards in all graveyards instead.
